Question: How does the angle or tilt of the earth affect temperature distribution?
Hypothesis: I think that the temperature would change because one side is going to get more light than the other.
Claim: The angle or tilt does effect the temperature distribution. I say this because if you look at the graph the temperature from the other group which the light was away there temperature was not close to ours. There temperatures moved much slower than ours. There temperature only moved by 4 degrees during the full 15 minutes. While ours moved over 10 degrees during the whole process of 15 minutes. The angle did get a little bit of sunlight but not as much as ours, which means that it does effect the temperature distribution.
A. How does the Earth's tilt lead to warmer temperatures during the summer month?
The earth's tilt lead to warmer temperatures during the summer months because if the tilt is facing us than we get direct sunlight.
If it doesn't face us we get indirect sunlight which is when it is winter.
B. How would seasonal patterns be different if the earth were not tilted?
The seasonal patterns would be different if the earth were not tilted because one place would all get direct sunlight, while the other place gets indirect. Which means that one place will be hot while the other one will be winter. The earths tilt makes it be distributed It will probably change up the way the seasons go.
C. Describe one advantages and one disadvantages of using models to explain the reasons for seasons?
Advantages:
It is realistic as seeing the sun hit the earth
Disadvantages:
The sun is way bigger than the earth while in this the earth was bigger than the sun
